President and founder of the Ahmed Foundation for Kurdish Studies, a non profit and non-partisan organization, which undertakes scholarly studies pertaining to Kurdish history,culture, and politics in the Middle East. As a former United Nations advisor, he has represented the UN in numerous regional and international conferences and presented papers dealing with food security, desertification, environmental protection, immigration, refugees, minority rights, poverty alleviation and ethnology transfer. He has authored, America Unravels Iraq; Iraqi Kurds and Nation-Building and coeditor of The Evolution of Kurdish Nationalism, The Kurdish Question and the International Law and written numerous articles for conferences on the Kurdish issue.
