Lubna is a Palestinian art writer, curator and a researcher in the field of Cultural Studies. For the last few years, she has been focusing on studies of the Cinema of the Palestinian Revolution and obtained a masters in Cultural Studies from Queen's University in Canada. For the last few years, Lubna has worked with several cultural organizations in Palestine, organizing events on topics related to her studies. This includes Khalil Sakakini Cultural Center in Ramallah, the Palestinian Art Court in Jerusalem, and the Isabel Bader Center in Kingston. In her work, she focused on different areas of enquiry including the tricontinental politics in Palestinian Cinema during the 1970s and music education in Occupied Palestine, as she was a music teacher herself before in Palestine. In her most recent work, Lubna has been studying, documenting, and creating community projects based on escaped letters written by Palestinian political prisoners in Israeli political jails. These writings appear in Fusha and Ibraz. A chapter by Lubna is forthcoming in a book under contract with I.B. Tauris on documenting Palestine during the 1960s and 1970s.
