ABOUT
Dr. Marielle Risse teaches literature, education and cultural studies at Dhofar University in Salalah, Oman. Her areas of research are Omani culture/ history, connecting Middle Eastern and Western writers in literature classrooms and intercultural communication/ competence. She is a fellow of the Royal Geographical Society. She has published Community and Autonomy in Southern Oman (Palgrave Macmillan, 2019) and Foodways in Southern Oman (Routledge, 2021).
