ABOUT
Marie Duboc is Assistant Professor of Sociology at the American University of Cairo, Egypt. She recently completed her PhD in Sociology from the EHESS in Paris. Her dissertation focused on social movements and labor protests in the textile sector in Egypt from 2004-2010. In 2010-2011 she was an Academic Visitor at St Edmund College, Oxford University. Her research interests include social movements, sociology of labor, workers and nationalism, protest and gender relations.
