Alyssa Bernstein will defend her PhD thesis on the Palestinian Prisoners' Movement at Queen's University of Belfast in January 2018. Her academic research focuses on social movement dynamics in the Prisoners' Movement since 1994. She is also a J.D. candidate at Harvard Law School.
