ABOUT
Alessandro Rizzo studied Medieval History at the University of Pisa. He holds a PhD in History from the University of Liège and the University of Aix-Marseille. He has carried out post-doctoral research at the Annemarie Schimmel Kolleg (University of Bonn), Institució Milà i Fontanals-CSIC (Barcelona) and University of Liège. In December 2021, he has joined the University Ludwig-Maximilian (Munich) thanks to an Alexander Von Humboldt Scholarship. His research interests focus on diplomacy between the Mamluk sultanate and the Christian powers.
