ABOUT
Danielle V. Schoon graduated with a PhD from the University of Arizona in Sociocultural Anthropology and Middle Eastern Studies. She conducted 14 months of ethnographic research as a Fulbright Fellow in 2011-2012 in Istanbul, Turkey, with a dislocated Roma (Gypsy) community. Her specialties are urban anthropology, anthropologies of the Middle East and Europe, and issues of citizenship, minority identity, and neoliberalism in Turkey. Danielle also has degrees in Religious Studies and Dance, and her work is located at the cross-section of the social sciences and humanities.
