ABOUT
I am first and foremost a historian and an Ottomanist with a Ph.D. degree in history from UCLA, specializing in Armenia, the Ottoman Empire, and the Modern Middle East. I taught at college and university (undergraduate) levels (for some 15 years). I have worked as a journalist for more than 2 decades. I have done freelance translation since 1980 in Armenian, Arabic, and Turkish. I also do research in Ottoman Turkish. I am also a Middle east Security Specialist (Non IT). I also have done research in the Ottoman Archives Directorate (BOA, Istanbul) Republican Archives Directorate (BCA) and have published extensively on Ottoman and Armenian History.
