ABOUT
Karol Kaczorowski works at the Center for Advanced Studies of Population and Religion (CASPAR) and at the Department of International Relations at the Cracow University of Economics (Poland). His Phd thesis focused on the social construction of ethnic identity among young Kurds, who are migrants from other parts of Turkey to Istanbul. For this project he obtained a Preludium grant from Polish National Science Center. He authored two books in POlish - a sociological study about the reception of Arab Spring in Istanbul and a religious studies book on minority religions of Kurds (Yezidism, Ahl-e Haqq, Alevism). Author of works in the fields of: sociology, cultural anthropology, anthropology of religion and policy. Currently transnational Kurdish families are the topic of his research
