Shirin Gerami studied Middle Eastern Studies and Political Science at McGill University, where she was the editor-in-chief of the McGill Journal of Middle East Studies for two years. After graduating, Shirin worked in the non-profit sector in Toronto. She is currently completing her masters degree at New York University's Hagop Kevorkian Center for Near East Studies.
