Amelie Le Renard is a permanent researcher at CNRS (Paris). Her second monograph, entitled Western Privilege. Work, Intimacy and Postcolonial Hierarchies in Dubai (Stanford University Press, 2021), has just been published. She has also co-written Beyond Exception. New Interpretations of the Arabian Peninsula (Cornell University Press, 2020) with Ahmed Kanna and Neha Vora.
