ABOUT
Glenn E. Robinson is a political scientist from UC Berkeley who has taught at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California, since 1991. He specializes in issues of collective action, political violence, state building and development. He is the author or co-author of four books and over 150 articles, book chapters, conference papers and government technical reports. He has done considerable work for USAID on development projects and assessments in the Middle East and North Africa. His most recent book is Global Jihad: A Brief History (Stanford University Press, 2021). Robinson has served MESA in a variety of capacities, including on CAFMENA, the Malcolm Kerr dissertation committee, the nominating committee, the program committee, and the MESA Bulletin.
