ABOUT
Amanda M. Al-Raba’a is an Assistant Professor in the College of Humanities and Education at KIMEP University. She holds a PhD in English and Comparative Literature from UNC Chapel Hill and a BA in English and Comparative Literature from Indiana University Bloomington. Her research focuses on gender, war, and translation in modern Middle Eastern, North African, and Arab diaspora literatures in Arabic, English, and French. Her current project examines the figure of the translator and the role of translation in Iraq War literature. She previously worked as a Visiting Assistant Professor at Oberlin College.
