Raihan Ismail is a Lecturer at the Centre for Arab and Islamic Studies at the Australian National University. Ismail's research interests include: Sectarianism in the Gulf region, Political Islam with a strong focus on Egypt, and studies of religious institutions in the Middle East. She is the author of "Saudi Clerics and Shia Islam published by Oxford University Press.
