ABOUT
Lara holds an MA in History and Languages of the Middles East from the University of Bologna, Italy (2013) and an MA in Middle Eastern and North African Studies from the University of Arizona (2018). She is currently a Ph.D. student at MENAS. Her research interests include contemporary Islamic movements and new media, with a research focus on the ways in which jihadi groups conceptualize and define the Muslim umma.
