ABOUT
She is currently a postdoctoral fellow at the History Departement at CIDE (Center for Research and Economic Teaching). She studied journalism at the Carlos Septién García School of Journalism and since then she became interested in Palestine. She continued her studies at the Colegio de México to specialize in the Middle East at the Asian and African Studies Center. She defended her doctoral thesis on the process of professionalization of Palestinian journalists in March 2015 by the University of Aix-Marseille, France. Her research interests revolve around: Israeli-Palestinian conflict, construction of narratives, memory and identity, media representation of minorities, migrations and uses of the body in contexts of resistance. She has been Professor at the Carlos Septién School of Journalism, at the Universidad Iberoamericana CDMX and Puebla, at the Tecnológico de Monterrey in Querétaro, Puebla and Estado de México, at the Institute of Legal Sciences of Puebla, at the Colegio de Tlaxcala, at the Universidad Anáhuac. In 2016 and 2020 she collaborated in the organization of the seventh edition of the Week Arabic in Mexico (SAM) and the eleventh, twelve and last edition of the Middle East and North Africa Week in Mexico (SEMONA before SAM), organized by the Center for Research and Economic Teaching (CIDE), the Tecnológico de Monterrey and the UNAM. She has co-organized the 2nd International Migration Congress with colleagues from Tecnológico de Monterrey Querétaro. She also worked in different print media and audiovisuals before completing her specialization studies.
