ABOUT
Dr. Mireille Aprahamian is currently working as a Social Scientist at the Marine Corps Information Operations Center (MCIOC). Her endeavors include providing social science and academic support to the MCIOC and its divisions through doctrine, training/education, research, and community collaboration. Dr. Aprahamian is also a Faculty Associate at George Mason and Johns Hopkins Universities, teaching graduate courses in Cross-Cultural Human Development and Diversity and Social Justice within the Departments of Counseling and Human Services. Subsequent to her work at MCIOC, Dr. Aprahamian worked as a researcher at the Center for Advanced Operational Culture Leaning (CAOCL). Prior to CAOCL, she was the Director of Evaluation and a research faculty at the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health. Her academic expertise and scholarship is in multicultural and social justice issues, mental health, and identity development of immigrant populations. In addition, she has both native and research-based knowledge of the Arab and Armenian cultures, specifically within the Levant region. Dr. Aprahamian was a prior service member in the U.S. Army.
