Melanie Sindelar is a social and cultural anthropologist with research interests in contemporary art, global art markets, the Gulf and Indian Ocean countries. She has received her Ph.D. in socio-cultural anthropology from the University of Vienna with distinction and her MSc in Social Anthropology from the University of Oxford.
