ABOUT
Raed (El) Rafei is a Lebanese scholar and filmmaker. He is an Assistant Professor of Film and Media Studies at the University of Pittsburgh, and a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of California, Davis, for the academic year 2023-2024. Rafei holds a Ph.D. in Film and Digital Media from the University of California, Santa Cruz. His research focuses on queer cinema in the Arab region. Rafei’s films include Here I am … Here you are and 74 (The Reconstitution of a Struggle).
