Dr. Seyed Masoud Noori's Short Bio Founding Executive Director of the Roya Institute for Global Justice// Visiting Scholar at Department of Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies, NYU Arts & Science Before leaving Iran, Masoud was a faculty member at Mofid University Law School, Qom, Iran, serving in several leadership positions at the Center for Human Rights Studies. His professional experiences include working with UNICEF, UNDP, and ICRC. Before joining the NUY Department of Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies as a visiting scholar, he was an Affiliated Scholar to the Center for Human Rights and Global Justice (CHRGJ), NYU Law School. Before that, he was a visiting scholar at Trinity University (San Antonio, TX) and taught courses related to current issues in the Middle East. Before that, he served as research director of the Center for the Study of Islam & the Middle East (CSIME), a Washington, DC-based NGO. He has received the MESA Global Academy 2021-2022 scholarships. Masoud's other recent years' academic posts include Emory Law School (Atlanta, Georgia) positions and the Irish Center for Human Rights at the National University of Ireland, Galway. His research interests and activities include Human Rights, Environmental Law, Legal Clinics, CLE, SDGs, and Interfaith Dialogue.
