ABOUT
I have more than eight years of experience in research and program management. This experience is consolidated by a strong academic training in both political sciences and sociology with extensive focus on the Middle East and US foreign policy. I am currently a PhD student and a Graduate Instructor at George Mason’s Department of Sociology where I conduct my research on law and authoritarianism. At George Mason University, I taught courses on violence and religion.
I am currently an Assistant Director/Arabic Editor at the Atlantic Council’s Rafik Hariri Center for the Middle East where I founded the Council’s first Arabic Program. I work with the editorial team to edit and prioritize content for publication and translation. In addition to editing and overseeing the Arabic content, I closely monitor key political and security developments in MENA and the US policy in the region to set the research and publication agendas.
