Dana Brostowsky Gilboa is a Ph.D. candidate at the Department of Islamic and Middle Eastern Studies, The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, specializing in Islamic art. The title of her M.A. Thesis was “Figurative Descriptions on Mamlūk Metalwork: Glorification of the Mamlūk Rule”. Her subject of Ph.D. dissertation is “Visual Representations of Rulers and Rule in Muslim Art between the 11th-14th centuries in the Levant”.
