ABOUT
Associate Professor of Political Science at the American University in Cairo, Egypt, Emeritus. Research and teaching include environmental politics and culture, hydropolitics, and Palestine. Taught als (2009-011) at the School of Foreign Service, Georgetown University, Qatar. In 2012/2013 Yale University. Received Ph.D. from M.I.T in 1986. Has been a Fulbright Fellow in Jerusalem (1993-94)and a Coca-Cola Fellow at the MacMillan Center, Yale University (2012-013). Published and edited volumes and articles on natural resources conflict, especially water and oil, and on culture and the environment. He is a contributor to Mada Masr and Jadaliyya. Elmusa is a poet, his book Flawed Landscape was published in 2008, Interlink Publishers.
