ABOUT
I am a double-major PhD candidate in Education Policy Studies with a concentration in International and Comparative Education and Middle Eastern Languages and Cultures with a concentration in Middle Eastern History & Politics at Indiana University-Bloomington. My research includes Islamic education, Muslim diaspora studies, modernization theory, pluralism and history of modern education in the Middle East. I currently focus on multiculturalism and multi-ethnicity within Islamic education in the West and international Islamic universities worldwide. I have so far worked with Iraqi, Palestinian, Somali, Bantu (Somalia), Ethiopian, and Oromo (Ethiopia) communities.
