ABOUT
Irm Haleem received her Ph.D. from Boston University in 2001 in Political Science, with a focus on International Relations and Political Theory. She is the author of the book 'The Essence of Islamist Extremism' (Routledge 2012; paperback 2014) which engages in a conceptual analysis of radical Islamist rhetoric drawn from temporally and contextually varied groups and movements. She has taught at Northeastern University (MA), Seton Hall University (NJ) and Princeton University (NJ). Currently, she is an Assistant Professor at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.
