ABOUT
Mateo Mohammad Farzaneh is associate professor of history at Chicago's Northeastern Illinois University. His last book "The Iranian Constitutional Revolution and the Clerical Leadership of Khurasani" (Syracuse University Press, 2015) won the National History Honor Society's Best First Book award in 2016. In December 2020, Syracuse UP will publish his new book, "Iranian Women and Gender in the Iran-Iraq War," on the occasion of the 40th year anniversary of that conflict. His interest lie between Islamic culture, modern nationalism, and women and gender.
