Working at the interface of policymaking and innovative social science, I bring more than 15 years of applied policy experience, and research expertise in the areas of peace-building, development and governance in the Middle East. I am passionate about impactful research, social inclusion, and public service. I gained field-based insights during the critical juncture of popular mobilizations, and the ensuing transformations in the region working with both local grassroots activists as well as decision makers. I served in several roles in academia and the United Nations. I am currently senior researcher and visiting scholar at CIC/ NYU and UC Berkeley.
