ABOUT
A research fellow at the MDC of Tel Aviv University, he earned his PhD in contemporary Syrian history in 2014. His dissertation subject was a socio-political biography of Akram al-Hawrani, a Syrian radical politician known for bringing the peasantry into the political system in Syria. Currently, he also follows developments in Syria, Lebanon and Iraq, with particular attention given to audio-visual propaganda and other political mobilization techniques in the context of violence and civil war.
