ABOUT
Received a PhD in History and Middle East Studies from Princeton University in 1966. Taught as an Assistant Professor in the Comparative Tropicasl History Program at the Uni versity of Wisconsin (Madision), then served as a Faculty Associate in North Africa, the Middle East, and East Africa for the American Universities Field Staff, 1966-67; Associate Professor and Full Professor Brooklyn College, CUNY from 1968-2007. IOn retirement moved to RBabat Morocco where I was a Professor of Hisotry and Politics in the AMIDEAST (Rabat) study abroad program. I left Morocco to return to NYC in August 2020. Published four books and numerous scholarly articles.
