ABOUT
Jinan is the Principal Investigator of the research project entitled "Consociationalism and Civil Resistance in Lebanon" in the Middle East Centre at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). Her research focuses on protest movements and civil resistance as well as the impact of consociationalism on democratization in postwar Lebanon and Iraq. Jinan is also a Fellow in the Centre for Syrian Studies at the University of St Andrews and has years of experience in political consulting and risk analysis, after serving as an analyst for several organizations. She is the co-author of The Politics of Sectarianism in Postwar Lebanon (London: Pluto Press, 2015).
